Find A Park Holiday Park Finder Wins best Travel App at 2011 Australian Mobile Awards

Australia's best mobile apps were revealed last Thursday night at the 2011 Australian Mobile Awards.

Awards were received by some of the most innovative developers of mobile apps and competition across the many categories was fierce. The small team that developed the Find A Park app included David Holland of Brighthouse, Rafe Roberts of Global Fusion and Vaughan James of Reality Engine.

Find A Park is now used by thousands of travellers to find holiday parks on the road, check out their facilities, get hot deals, make reservations and get directions using interactive mapping. After leaving the park users can add to their favourites and write reviews.

The awards presentation night was the culmination of months of organisation. “We’ve seen a fantastic response to the Mobile Awards and it’s terrific that some of Australia’s largest brands are not just active in mobile, but creating engaging and entertaining experiences for people, the best of which we’re seeing in the Mobies,” said Mark Bergin the Australian Mobile Awards Director.

The Mobile Awards were decided by a combination of a public vote and a detailed judging panel review comprising of a variety of leading figures from across the mobile industry.
